Congratulations to Bligh Wilson, Sarah Davies and Thea Podiotan for their performances at the Budburst Music Festival at the Chateau Yaldara in the Barossa Valley on October 26th.  It was a great experience for these students. Thank you for representing Balaklava High School so well.

Junior Theatre Festival Australia– Paetyn Slater

Year 7 student, Paetyn Slater was part of a theatre group, chosen to perform at the JTF (Junior Theatre Festival) Australia held in Newcastle in October.  They competed against groups from all over Australia. For their adjudication piece they received an award for most outstanding choreography.   They also did workshops with performers from America. 

Paetyn’s group were selected earlier in the year to perform a showcase of Hans Christian Anderson to perform in front of everyone (approximately 5000 people).  Only 2 groups had the opportunity to do this. What an amazing experience!  Congratulations Paetyn!
