FOOD & HOSPITALITY
To celebrate their completion of Year 12, the Stage 2 Food and Hospitality class ended the subject with a Celebration Cake Task. Students were to research current cake trends and identify how presentation and skills impact the costs of cakes. They found that a lot of time and effort goes into baking and decorating cakes, which became clear when they were put to the challenge of making one themselves. The students attended a holiday session to learn specific cake decorating techniques as well as baking their cakes. They then decorated their own cake using current trends and techniques. They should be very proud of their achievements.
